'Cold Snap' out today! Live on CBS tomorrow!

Holy crap the new album's out today!

There's lots of things to say about it, but the music is most important, so without further ado, you can pick up your very own copy of Cold Snap right now digitally via iTunes, on CD/Vinyl via New West Records, or in person at your local indie record store, and you can watch us play some of the songs live on CBS This Morning tomorrow, June 18 (check your local listings) in our national TV debut!

I've never been so proud of anything before, and I hope you find the same joy and challenges and growth and questions in listening to the songs as I did in writing and recording them. It was a dream come true to work with producer Mike Mogis (Bright Eyes, First Aid Kit), and to have Conor Oberst sing on two of my songs was beyond anything I ever imagined sitting in my bedroom playing guitar. It's the biggest, most ambitious album I've ever made, and I couldn't have done it without a lot of help from a lot of creative and supportive people, so I want to put a big Thank You out into the universe.

We've just begun our biggest full-band headline tour yet, and it feels so good to bring these songs to life. Even in the digital age, word of mouth is still an artist's best friend, so if you dig what you hear, please take a second to tell a friend about the album, add it to your playlists, share it online, invite other humans to come see us live, light up some smoke signals, take a skywriting class, whatever your heart desires. It means the world to us.

Again, thank you so much for all your support in helping get us here. Finally releasing this album feels like the end of a long journey, but it's really just the beginning, and I'm so excited to share it with you. So go on, grab a copy of Cold Snap, crank the volume way up, and I'll see you real soon.
